During this workshop session we were given the task to write out a quote given too us using hand rendered typography.
This was the first one I had created, I chose the quote 'Smile while you still have Teeth' and I had wanted too put the word teeth into someones teeth, and play around with hierarchy to make it easier to read.
This next one I had chosen the quote 'Some things are better left unsaid'. I had played around with how I would remove the word unsaid from it, started by scribbling it out, not writing it at all, putting lines through it. But in the end I liked how it looked when I rubbed it out, so you could barely see the word anymore. I had chosen to leave the rubber and rubber marks in the picture as I felt like it added too it.
For this last quote I chose 'When nothing goes right, go left. I had the idea to play around with the positing of the sentence by making the part 'go left, actually go left. I played around with it in a few different styles by reversing the letter, flipping it, skewing it, and including arrows, changing sizes and colour.
